There are some new air crafts that are expected to be delivered to Kenya before it can go ahead and open up new routes in different parts of the world. In May, they got a brand new Embraer 190 and there are about 9 birds which are a still on order and are expected to be delivered in July and the rest will be delivered in monthly intervals and once all there aircrafts are in place, then Kenai airways will open up, the Pride of Africa is set to open up several more routes this financial year.
Then news is still kind of confident so as to avoid alarming their competitors who may want to rush and work on their status too and this will make the competition stiffer. This information was obtained by a source from a press conference held in March where they declared the share rights issue as well as it official opening as the air line as intending to work on the number of flights to different areas and to Kilimanjaro region since at the moment it is only the Precision Air that is flying under the KQ / PW banner. There was also a time when flights were brought to a close following an economic crisis that came in 2008 and affected work in Cape Town but they managed to pick themselves as early as possible which is a sign of continuous growth and development of the inter Africa traffic.
Kenya airlines hopes to expand further now that it has already opened its route to Delhi last week but this time it may a little bit hard since it has got to have more air crafts first yet they are expected to come on line starting from 2014 onwards and if they can not wait that long, they will have to go for the shorter term leased aircraft to use for a while as 2014 approaches so that they can quickly venture into the Indian and Chinese market in an effort to improve Kenya’s economy.
According a regular source, it is now time for all airlines to do their best and get as many markets as possible and at the moment KQ just line some other airlines can only expand on the market if they can get other aircraft to fly to different parts of the world. It is very important for them to get these crafts so that they can get more markets otherwise they might lose out to their competitors something that will affect them greatly. the Embraer 190 jets are good for medium distances even in Africa while the larger B737 can offer business and economy class which are very comfortable outside Africa. Wish Kenya airlines all the best this year.
