There has been a delay in the opening up a flight route to Mwanza which is the second biggest town in Tanzania situated on the shores of Lake Victoria. Following that delay, the Rwanda air ways has decided to officially open up a route to Mwana which will be opening on Monday 02nd July and this will be the 3rd destination in Tanzania with Rwanda air ways.
Currently, it is flying to Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro therefore Mwanza will be the 3rd and will also increase on the number of travelers who flying in and out of the country and in the long run promote the tourism industry as there will be lots of tourists entering the country. Rwanda air connects to Johannesburg, Brazzaville, Libreville, Lagos and Dubai with a short transit stop in Kigali.
Mwanza is Rwanda Airs 14th destination and they expect to get more b towards the end of this year after receiving the two brand new Bombardier CRJ900 jets which the airline will be adding on its fleet and getting a total of total of 7 crafts. They still have more orders but with more orders of at least one more turboprops which will most probably be Bombardiers Q 400 and more jet aircraft will be needed to assist in the development of the new destinations that they intend to have as well as the increasing the number of times that the airline has outlined in their strategic plan.
