15 Days - SAFARI UGANDA & RWANDA

Day 1: ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO HUMURAH HOTEL
You will be met by your guide from our company  who will brief you about the tour and later take you for a city tour around the historical sites of Uganda like Kasubi Tombs, namugongo shrines check in at Holiday Express.

Day 2:  TO JINJA SOURCE OF THE RIVER NILE
Departure to Jinja, site seeing as you drive on, Visit the Sezzibwa Falls,  you will arrive on time .After which you will visit the source of the Nile – the longest river in Africa as discovered by Speke in the early days.  Then the Bujagali falls, plus all the traditional stories attached to them.   Retun to Holiday express for your dinner and over night.  FB

Day 3 TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK – TOP OF THE FALLS
You will be picked from your hotel in Kampala and drive via  Bombo and Masindi town to  Murchison falls National Park.  Have lunch at  Masindi or a picnic lunch  in Kaniyo – Pabidi forest. Proceed to Murchison falls National Park through Kichumbanyobo gates. You take a drive to the “Top of the falls” for a breathtaking sight of the raging Nile as it forces its way through a rocky gap barely six meters wide. This is the point where the Nile River detonates through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a placid river.  Dinner and over night will depend on  the package you booked at Red Chillis Camp.

Day 4 THE LAUNCH CRUISE ALONG THE VICTORIA NILE.
Go for an early morning game drive on  at the Northern Bank of the Murchison falls National park   You are able to view those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffe, elephant, antelope, lion, and the Uganda Kob. Return to the lodge for mid morning breakfast, as you relax to wait for Lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes you to the Bottom of the roaring falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, ducks, cormorants, bee-eaters, skimmers, kingfishers, fish eagle and the rare shoebill. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: TO FORTPORTAL
Today you will travel to Fort Portal town, through the villages and beautiful scenery of the verdant  country side. Pass through the Albertine escarpment which is the smallest point of Uganda. You will have lunch en route and you will arrive late in the afternoon. In the evening you will have local guides for walks around the 1000 acre farm, to the Mahoma Water fall, and the Walks will take you around crater rims, past alcohol brewing in oil drums, through banana plantations, coffee terraces, plots of cassava, groundnuts, sorghum and millet. Then after, relax for the rest of the evening, dinner and overnight at  Kanyankyu tourist bandas.

Day 6 : CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE FOREST
An early Chimpanzee trek at Kibale forest,Assemble at Kanyankyu tourist centre and the start off with the search. Kibale national is a habitat for more than 10 primate species, which include, black & white coleus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys among the many. After lunch you then go on for a swamp walk, Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is managed by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental organization formed in 1992 with the aim of achieving social and economic development for local communities. You will be taken on a guided walk around the swamp, which is home to approximately 137 bird species including the Snowy Headed Robin Cat, Black and White Casqued Hornbill, Emerald Cuckoo and a variety of Weavers, Warblers, Greenbuls and Sunbirds. There's also an abundance of Butterflies. It's also rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus.. Return to the lodge for dinner and over night at Rwenzori view guest House/ Rujuni guest house.

Day 7 VISIT THE PYGMIES IN SEMILIKI NATIONAL PARK
Leave after breakfast for the crown and hot springs.  The drive is a 2-4 hours. This will be the day in the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rainforest. The visit to the villages has proven to be an appealing cultural experience.  You take a tour to the Hot Springs  from where you will visit the Pygmies. The guide will carry packed lunch for you  so that you have a
Picnic lunch while you experience the TRUE AFRICA! Afterwards, you will be transferred back to Fortportal. Dinner and an overnight at Rwenzori View Guest House or Rujuni guest House.

Day 8: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, you'll leave for Fort portal to visit the Kings Royal tombs and various cultural groups including the Burungu community which is rooted in Traditional Toro culture that will entertain you with music, dancing and story telling.
Spend the whole half day with the local community and on village walks/tours and in the afternoon you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. for Dinner and over night at institute of Ecology.

Day 9 : A LAUNCH CRUISE ALONG THE KAZINGA CHANNEL
After a cup of coffee, Embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens mile in the park and expect to see Lions, Elephants, cape buffalo, Warthogs, leopard, hyena, mangoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Topi and lots many small animals and birds. After lunch, enjoy the unique evening 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Return  for dinner and over night.

Day 10 : TO BWINDI THROUGH THE ISHASHA SECTOR
Today you will depart for Bwindi, through the southern sector of the park; here you will be viewing the famous tree climbing lions as the rest up in the large forest trees.  You will have lunch and then go for a community walk through the near by villages. Overnight at Buhoma commuinty bandas .



Day 11: TREK GORILLAS TODAY
An early breakfast after which you proceed to the park offices for a briefing, then continue on for the trek. We advise you bring with hiking shoes, long pants and long sleeved shirts for the trek. A packed lunch and water is provided by the lodge, after the trek you have the afternoon at leisure, or site seeing around the trading centre. Overnight at the Buhoma commuinty bandas

 


Day 12 : To L. Mburo national park
Drive through Uganda’s rolling green hills to lake Mburo National park (the drive will take approx. 5 hours).we shall have lunch, we will do a boat ride on lake Mburo  and a late  afternoon  game drive  in search of zebra ,cape buffalos, impala, topi, eland, oribi, and with luck, Roan antelopes, leopards, hyenas and  jackals.
Dinner and over night at Rwonyo Rest Comp.(FB)

Day 13 to NGAMBA ISLAND
Transfer back to Kampala, then to Entebbe for a half day excursion to Ngamba Island.  You will be dropped at the pier from where the boat will pick you to take you to this chimpanzee sanctuary. You will view the chimpanzees on the visitors’ platform anf after you will retun to Entebbe for your dinner and over night at Central Inn or Bomma Guest house.

Day 14 :  To the Airport.
You will be dropped to the airport for your next flight back home
