Overview
Tanzania’s untamed wilderness, with the serenity of its tropical coastline, the acacia-dotted plains near Lake Manyara, and the ancient volcanic floor of Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll experience the pulse of African wildlife in two of the country’s most iconic reserves. Herds of elephants, prides of lions, and scattered flamingos set the stage for unforgettable game drives. After the thrill of safari, the trip winds down in Zanzibar, where white-sand beaches and the Indian Ocean’s turquoise waters offer time to relax and recharge.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a local guide and representative will welcome you and escort you to your lodge in Arusha. Settle into the peaceful surroundings of your accommodation at the foot of Mount Meru, where you’ll be served dinner and have the evening to unwind.
Overnight: Mountain Village Lodge
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, known for its scenic beauty and diverse wildlife. Located along the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park offers a mix of lush forest, open plains, and the alkaline lake itself. Look out for elephants, giraffes, hippos, and tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, continue to your lodge near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Overnight: Lake Manyara Serena Lodge
Today you’ll descend into Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife refuges and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater’s steep walls create a natural enclosure that supports an incredible concentration of animals, including black rhinos, flamingos, hyenas, and a variety of antelope. The setting also attracts predators such as lions and jackals, making for rewarding wildlife sightings throughout the day.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for a domestic flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you for the transfer to your beachside hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the sea breeze, coastal views, and warm hospitality of the island.
